A recent study from the National Center for Education Statistics shows that online learning is becoming more common.
Blended learning—where students combine online and classroom learning—now includes almost 18 percent of all students. In addition, 33 percent of college students took at least one class online, and fully online college courses grew by 15 percent during the time of the study.
What makes this trend important is that students are doing well in online settings. A report from Learning House Inc., shared in a Forbes article, found that students often learn just as well—or even better—online. Some key findings include:
